With the background of more than 25 years of experience, the group will continue to promote the propagation of emerging techniques and thus contribute to a vivid exchange of research results and ideas.
We initiate annual meetings to foster exchange between computer scientists, engineers and natural scientists about image analysis, visualization, and interaction techniques in image-based diagnostics and therapy, computer-assisted therapy planning and related software tools.
The group awards excellent contributions in the field of medical visualization. The Karl-Heinz Höhne price is assigned biennially by a jury of academics and industry representatives.
The work group is a subgroup of the German Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI) and associated with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Computer- und Roboterassistierte Chirurgie e.V. (CURAC).
